205-50, or 195-55?
Buyin new tires for my stock gsr rims! debating on either purchasing stock size 195-55 size in the yokohama avs es100s or the the kumho 712 on 205-50-15? what do you guys think? reason for the different size is the price. The price is around the same for these two choices in those stated sizes?

Not on stock 6" wheels, no way.

I missed the part about stock 6" wheels. I think you would be able to work it anyway depending on how stiff your sidewalls are and what tire pressures youre running. For someone who isnt doing heavy cornering, roll shouldnt be a problem.
"No way" would be taking it a bit too far...have you tried it? After speaking to discounttire the other day, a 215/45 actually is within range for 6-7.5".

205 50 goodyears
dont get the supra712s, they are a safety hazzard... the ecstas have too much sidewall flex for me, and just plain not enough traction for my taste...
Eagle F1 GSD3s... there is a reason why everyone is sold out of them

Those Eagles are supposed to be solid....but only available in 195/50
I didnt mind my 712's, theyve lasted me about 33k and were dirt cheap. Offered solid grip in wet and dry, just WAY too loud (which is the reason I wont ever get them again). I never got them close to their limits.
I went through this same debate for days, and given the sizes/pricing of whats available, I ended up with Azenis'.

I strongly suggest 195/55/15 after riding on 205/50/15 for 4 years.
The 205/50 is a bit thinner than 195/55, and it caused my wheel to bent.
Other than the bent wheel, I also notice steering response is much worse with 205/50.
