Agreed. A 600cc size bike is great to start on if u'd had a little riding experience, although you might want to reconsider getting CBR600RR....those are really nice bikes...i'd get a different model if i was you...depending on how much riding experience you've had, and what kind of riding you plan on doing.
Go get the MC license (preferably through the MSF couse; http://www.msf-usa.org ) and then come back with questions.

so sick of hearing this...just because YOU dropped your first bike doesn't mean everyone else will...i know plenty of people who have never ridden before and have bought new and used bikes and never dropped them..not trying to be a jerk but not everyone is careless with a bike

it has nothing to do with carelessness man, i know 4 guys who have parked their bikes and came out and they have been knocked over....its not always about being careless....and yes i know people who have bought bikes who havn't put them down too, but i also don't know ONE person who hasn't eventually put their bike down and when your first learning it is ALOT more liekly to happen, this is why we suggest used bikes for a first bike....thanks for comming out though.

true it may not always not be about carelessness but MOST times it is for a beginner..so because you know 4 people who's bikes got knocked over, no one should be a new bike just a used bike? if you don't know ONE person who hasn't put down their bike thats pretty sad. maybe you should enlighten them with all your knowledge..i agree somewhat that a used bike is probably a better idea for MOST people but not necessarily a must if you take the course and be as safe as possible and look out for the worse..also respect the bike

I know alot of guys who ride harely's who've never put their bike down, but every guy i know who rides a streetbike has at one point put it down, and i find that out of the prolly over 100 people i know if you have been riding long enough you are almost certainly going to put it down...eventually.....anyway....enough of this tread stealing...its all good...
