well, it's not about which engine is better. It's about how well the engine suits the body of the car. The Type R has a better relationship than the Prelude.

The Type R is just a better track designed car...no matter what anyone says.

The Prelude Type SH won the, "Best handling car under $30K", for 4years. The Type R would've won that title had it not been a limited production car.

Way to go Honda!!

^^^ BS... f*ck the sh and the r... get a 92-95 h22 prelude. the JUN-super-lemon-prelude owns.

LOL, who cares what we say... buy what appeals more to you... no one on H-T is going to help w/ your car payments LOL.

n e ways what are your plans for your future car? auto-X, drag racing, show or a combination of them.

Well i do respect all honda's. But i love my Lude. I like it's design much better, maybe i can't win on a windy course, but i beat two type r's that come to the race all the time.

And it's done with a H23 si Not even a Vtec. You can see a video here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=775045

I do have to say i don;t have 4 wheel steering and my car weighs 2400 maybe less pounds, and that is stock here in Europe.

Any way my choice Would be Prelude 4th gen because its alot better looking.

As nice as Preludes are, they dont hold a candle to a Type R stock vs stock

You beat two type R DRIVERS!!! BIG difference. Bottomline....the Type R is a better performing car. There is no disputing it.

I don't care if they are Performing better, I kick there asses on the highway and in a straight line, with only basic mods.

I'm not gonna race a type R in the city were lives are in danger, or on some winding course. Just your basic street/highway battles, that's were my daily drivin car usually incounters other car enthausiasts.

My bottomline is My car looks alot better(my point of view)and out performs it on a straight line, that's about it. Take it or leave it.

Prelude All the way

i would get a type-r over an sh, but not over a 4th gen vtec
you live in the LBC, you better get full coverage w/the type-r

as someone who has to drive against type R's in a competitive environment, trust me, there is no comparison off the drag strip. D stock, STX, D or CSP (wherever it lands) they're all classes for the ITR's taking. those extra 200-300 lbs we carry make a world of difference.
