I have a 1999 Civic 4-door, I am looking for a suspension
upgrade. Im guessing all I would need is spring and struts.
(Suggestions please). I was wondering what I can get for around
$400? Will spend more if needed. Any suggestions welcome

But to help out, other than springs and struts, sway bars and strut bars, bushings, wheels/tires... Im sure Im missing something.

EDIT: for 400 bux, springs and struts will do.

Tokico blues and pick up a decent set of springs neuspeed, h&r, etc.... I wouldn't go with race springs on Tokico blues though.

 

thats interesting you say that because all the packages i seen
i think comes with race springs. So what im getting at is is there
any particular reason why you wouldnt go with race springs on
tocico blues? thanks

 

The tokico blue do not have enought dampening for "race springs". You'll likely end up with a unstable and bouncy ride. I shouldn'tsay race springs 'cause that a little to broad a statement. What i should say is the tokico blues can't handle high spring rates and aren't made to be lowered 2-3in which can result in bottoming out.

 

Ok the problem is when i hit exactly 80 on the highway
i can do and turns or corners w/o feelings like im going
out of control or the car seems liek its lifting. All I want is
to be able to do turns comfortably at highers speeds. Ss
what im getting at is the lower the car is dropped the better
the handling will be no matter what. Also will 18s fit on my civic
after i have dropped it?

 

just go to lightning motorsports and get the tokiko HP spring/strut combo, it's around $400-500 if I remember right and it'll drop you and ride better then most of the ricers out there w/ springs on stock struts. maybe look into a camber kit, lightning sells those cheap too.

 

i have H&R sports on my daily driver. i did alot of research, i dont race so im gonna go with tokico blues when my stock ones wear out, although it rides awesome now. make room for settling also. look at neuspeeds, H&R, eibach, intrax.

 

are you looking for serios performance or just a little better than stock, i have neuspeed sport springs i think they are nice for daily, ride like a caddy but a little stiffer than stock adna nice drop...goldline, eibach sportline are nice too i hear for the daily driven dropped car, also if your goin tot drop with 18s a camber kti is a MUST, otehr wise you WILL GO THRU TIRES EVERY MONTH. well maybe not every month but you will wear them out a LOT faster, ill be honest you dont want to cut corners with not getting a camber kit. also check out http://www.streetrays.com , they have really good prices and on the forum on there they know their stuff and can help you out
