Anybody know how to deal with this? I have some damage, but I don't want ti to get worse.


How can I repair damage that has already been done?

get a dash mat, i've had one on my car for years and the dash looks like new.

 

dash mat looks like ***, imo.

maybe use some armor all? i remember seeing it saying that it protects and shines

what ever you do, dont use armor all, it will eventually dry out your dash and cause it to crack.

My Armor-all works fine too.

 

Armor works well for me too, on both of my cars so far.

 

Anyway to repaire damage that was already done?

this is true b/c it has silicone in it. ive read about this in tons of other places before. plus it makes the dash greasy, so it attracts dust, and reflects sunlight in ur eyes

that's why I switched to turtle wax formula 2001 protectant.

 

Focus guys FOCUS! Help this poor soul figure out if he can fix his problem!

(BTW, I have no idea if you can... it might be "ghetto" looking)

 

Other than replacing the dash panel, I'm not sure if you could melt it back together or fabricate something. Anyone?

Thats what I use as well, has great UV protection

I too use the 2001. It smells better, is less greasy, and doesn't make it so shiney. I like to use it on my tires every once in a while too.

 

I don't believe it's possible to repair a dash in such condition. You should post pics so we can all see what it looks like before we tell you that you're going to have to just buy a new dash.
