Auto to Manual B18B or Auto B16A2??
I just want your guys opinions, not a racer just want something with more pull.
Okay i got a 92 Eh2 (DX) and its an auto, my tranny is gone and the engine cant pull me up the hill faster than 60mph. I really want an manual swap cuz automatic is boring, but if i do the auto to manual i wont have much money for a decent engine. If i stick with auto i can get a better engine. If yall need to know anything else let me know. THanks HT!
Edit: Did i offend anyone with the cheating sirII? (auto b16a2)?

i vote to convert your car to manual no matter what motor you use. It doesn't matter which auto motor you use...its still gonna be slow as *****.
well if your looking for a little more pull then why not just convert your car to manual and swap in a d15b, d16z6, or d16y8. You will be waaaaay faster than if you had an auto b16 motor and plus you will have fun shifting a manual and it won't be so boring. Also i'm sure this would be much cheaper than swapping in an auto b16 anyways.

I was or am in the same situation
I bought an automatic and,
then wanted an engine swap,
but didn't have enough money for engine swap right away plus didn't want ot learn stick on a nice new engine, and didn't want to swap the tranny, cause then I'll be getting a new one anyways when I'll get the swap, so why get 2 ?!
so yadiya diyada
I bought a new car, and still trying to sell the old one
cause I thought I get the same amount for the old one as I did for the new one
plus I didn't like the color of the old hatch.
love my lil red one though
but now that I think of it,
if you're not ready for a swap, swap the tranny anyways, would of been allot cheaper and way less of a hassle. and learn how to swap ****, 1 little thing at a time.
just my 2 cents

Go with a manual SOHC with bolt ons. Honestly I think it'll be plenty fast for you. I have an Auto D15B7 Right now and I know what you mean with the whole "no pull" issue.
So to sum it up
D16Z6 swap
Auto to manual
Bolt ons
You should be good

yes correct an ls had more torque, but a d series will just be much cheaper. You say you aren't going for a ton of speed so I would just get a nice peppy sohc vtec motor with boltons and run low 15's with it
. I'm kinda partial to sohc motors though

ya everone is giving you good opinions u dont want to stay AUTO for one its slow, and secondly the wiring is insane, I tried installing an auto b16 swap in a auto CRX and i didnt find like 75% of the things i need besides the auto tranny i just convinced the person to go 5spd and they did so because after 3 weeks of searching everywhere we were still missing wiring diagrams and the secondary auto ECU
