Yes thats my car under that dirty *** tarp.


Well today we got this crazy storm here in southern ontario, and it just so happens we have to change the rear ends in my dads truck, sooo. Since our garage isnt big enough to park my car and the truck inside and its wayyyy to snowy and cold to work with the door half open my car gets to go outside.

Well its got no fenders, no bumpers, no hood, no rear tail lights, no sideshirts, no body moulding, no sunroof panell. And its snowing like a **** here.

Well i figure no biggie just throw the new rear-ends in a throw my car back in and we will be good. Well after pulling these things out (just as much work per rear end as pulling a motor), we relize of **** the new rear-ends use a 34 tooth spline on the axle, soo.. since the old ones were 44 my grandpa (trading rear ends) had to go home 1hr away, and get his axles because we had to swap axles too. Well it takes him 2x longer than usual to get home and he dosent want to come back. So my car had to sit overnight. And the worste part is we have a gravel driveway and when my car came out of the driveway i heard it bottom NOT GOOD!. So im hoping i dont have a Massive sided dent in my header! I havent gotten around to making that skid plate next.

O well truck is more important!, lugging around theres 7-900lb rear ends is NOT fun! Tommorow we are scheduled to start the re-assembly at 8!. Its just like a motor motor takes no time to pull its just getting everything else off of em!

hey man i hear yah about this weather i just had drive from work man it was horrible(i live in brantford) i was pushing snow it wasn't good. i hope this is our last snow storm for a while till next winter.. are you taking pics of your project as your going along? if you are can you post some

 

This weather sucks! I couldn't work on the REX today because of all this snow. But at least it's in the garage.

Do you guys know of any good exhaust shops in town (Hamilton) that can fab up a custom mandrel bent piping? I know of Elite Stainless in Brantford. They did my budies' DA before. But I don't feel like driving there with a leaking tranny.
