Is my 93 DX hatch pre-wired for rear speakers? Does anyone know what models of hatch have rear speakers and/or where I can get panels to allow the sound to come through?

Is it possible to fit an 8" speaker in the rear speaker locations?

i dont think you will be able to fit an 8" in there...at least with the factory speaker mount you wont be able too....but if u make a custom one im sure its possible to fit it in...good luck .

uh my dx came with speakers.

 

i dont think dx's had rear speakers standard. i know that my VX didnt have em so i just installed an amp in the rear and ran wires from that(rca wires to amp bigger gauge than normal speaker wire and better over lenthy distance). I found some grills in the junk yard. Or you can order them from a dealer. 6.5" will bolt on w/o kit, same with 5.25" . I may go to a stereo place for them to custom fab something to fit 6x9's i have which are 3-way. Good luck

 

you could also make holes with a dremmel, or take off the panels and use a utility knife or such to cut out spaces.

damn thats a GOOD price for a hatchback ! I paid $2800 cash for my VX - no body damages, clean interior and LOTS of maintenance records from last 2 owners. Take good care of her
