Vtec Switch
I am planning on just getting a switch from like radio shack. I figure i just pop it on once at like 4g when racing and just leave it on untill the race is over when i shift ill still be above 4gs anyway so it will act like the ecu is running it, so it wont burn out correct?
I did that once when i first did my minime, worked out, but my car was still extremely slow, then i rebuilt the head and added a cam and vakvetrain, along with an obd0 to obd1 swap, it it was a world of difference. But the cam made a big difference too, becasue now im running a stock d16z6 with an obd1 swap, and its just not as near as quick as m last setup.
Oh, but with the switch, whenever i forgot to turn it ff, i didnt notice a thing when i flicked it off, no change. Its like it was never on in teh first place. I dunno.

vtecs designed to switch over ALONG with timing and fuel......not at your own demand. Spend the bucks and get a vtec controller.........
