A couple questions on my 93 Accord?
Ok, I have the 10th anv, so it seems to be the LX F22a1. Anyways, according to what I am reading, it puts out about the same horsepower that my 2000 neon did. 140 at the crank, and about 115 at the wheels??? But this car is way faster. Is it due to the Torque, or what? Also, I have a Gtech, and trying to figure out what the correct weight is on my car, with me in it. I weight about 160. I am guessing around 3500? Thanks in advance. chad
Well its probably due to the torque of the accord.
A 1993 accord 10th anniversary puts out:
hp: 140hp @ 5600 rpm
tq: 142 ft-lbs @ 4500 rpm
weight: 3086lbs (curb weight)
with you and all your stuff in the car probably 3200-3300lbs
vs
2000 neon
hp: 132 hp @ 5600
tq: 130 ft-lbs @ 4600
weight:2559lbs (curb weight)
Well I will be the first to say dodge neons are not built all that well. Their engine management compared to a honda looks midevil. Honda knows how to extract tons of power from a simple application. I also want to congratulate you on ridding yourself of the neon
on owning a honda. If you want more info on car weight, hp etc visit http://www.edmunds.com and also the guide to basic accords up top /\ . Welcome to h-t

Thanks, I have one more question also. With the Missing link (I just ordered), is there any more check valves I will need, or it that all of that part of it I will need to boost? I know I will need the fuel management, but as far as just the MAP and ECU. Thanks
