syncros
hey, lately my gears have been real notchy to get into and not smooth especially 2nd gear, sometimes it takes me 2 tries to get into. I am assuming it's my syncros, I have heard that the Penzoil Synchromesh is the same as the GM synchromesh but is it the same as the regular GM syncrhomesh or the Friction Modified? If not, does Penzoil have their version of the Friction Modified?

you can do a search on this but i will save you the time. pennzoil makes all the synchromesh oil for all the companies, like quaker state, castrol, havoline, and the gm stuff. i had a hell of a time finding anything but the gm stuff for 11 bucks a quart. if you get it from gm its either part #12377916, or 12345349. you want the kind in the regular oil style quart bottle. not the round bottle. i put it in my car and wow. most say like 500-800 miles to feel the diff. but i felt it after like 10. good stuff, def. worth the money
ok thanks, so all the others like quaker state, castrol, havoline and GM have either the option of Friction Modified and regular kind? Or is it just GM that has friction modified? Like would the Castrol have a Friction Modified version too? etc...
thanks
