Default RSX-S vs ITR... I'll have some answers tomorrow...

Before everybody start screaming... I've owned both car!!! I miss my R and sometimes I don't! Thiefs were the only reason why I've traded in my ITR for the RSX-S!

Tomorrow I'll be going to the track for some free lapping with my RSX-S. I went there 6-7 times before with both ITR I used to own! I've changed the front pads my my RSX (Porterfield R4S) and the tires too (stupid Michelins)! On my R I had HP+ so I think both car can compare now (tires&breaks only)!

I still think my R was faster (lighter and better suspension) but I pretty sure that the RSX-S won't be far behind...

I'll keep you posted...

Thanks for the time slip... But unless you drove both car that night, the time slip doesn't really proove anything... Both I already know that I'm slower in a RSX-S!
I went to the drag strip few weeks ago and I was .5 seconds slower compare to my R. The RSX has 16" wheels... and is 150 lbs heavier and only 1K miles at the time.

But I still want to see in autoX...

The 16' wheels aren't considered a disadvantage with the RSX's gearing.

15.6 1/4 mile! Wow. That seems kinda slow doesn't it?

Keystone is a decent elevation, most stock GS-Rs run in the 15.7s, 15.3s with I/H/E. See my thread from yesterday for more info.

Not to be a party pooper, but your time will not be even close to ITR's. Have fun.

In our Australian "Wheels" magazine they recently had an article comparing the new Type R against the old one. Of course, our new Type R is essentially the RSX-S, they claimed the old type r to be better than the new one. But the japanese one is absolutely brilliant...

I don't actually have the article because i didn't buy that magazine, otherwise i'd scan it. But i did buy the latest motor magazine, which compares the new Type R (Your RSX-S) against the Nissan 200SX.

Well sorry for the delay... The day was beautiful but I did only few laps! Enough I should say... The RSX-S feels nice but the suspension is too soft! Suspension upgrade is a must! I was a good second slower compare to my ITR with stock tires. But again the Ecsta 712 even in 225/50R16 doesn't compare to the RE010! I don't like them at all... The LSD is making a big difference too, specialy when the tires don't grip much! Too bad I'll have to wait for the RSX-R...

Secondly, going at the track with street tires is a waste when you have tried track tires before! Not enough grip, so I bought a set of RA-1 for next season (that was the last event of the season). My RSX-S is gonna a lot more fun to race next year!

Over all the car is good! I think I gain more compare to what I lost trading my ITR for it! But at the track, I miss my R.... a lot !!!

Just my .02$

Off the subject, but it mentally feels funny to think of some imagery for all the ''!'' in the posts typer100.
