timing belt problem plz help...

Default timing belt problem plz help...

my friend has a hatch with a 95 ls swap and we jst went turbo....took it for a ride and his timing belt happening to snap and the car jst shut off...and i was just wondering whats the chances of his valves or valve springs being needed to be replaced?...thanks

hard to say. I would replace the timing belt and do a compression check and hpe for the best.

I had a B18C1 timing belt snap on me at 2000 rpm, replaced the belt and everything was perfect. It's hard to say

yea sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you dont,..its hard to say,..do what emerika said and see what kinda compresion numbers you are pulling
