Default 96 recall?

96 emissions recall ???
I have a 96 gsr with the obd 2 should I do the honda emissions recall which I have received a good year ago or just leave it alone .. i have k&n, dc 421 , and dc cat back exhaust already installed runs great no problems 138,000 miles ,,, the recall service is free up to 150,000 ,, they will change plugs, wires, rotor and cap , oil change and the obd2 computer to the new version but will the new obd2 decrease my performance ??
if it does it's not worth the free stuff .... please give me some advice... thanks

I hadn't heard about this, but I probably won't. Could maybe use the new rotor and cap, but don't care too much... mine's in good shape. I don't want the new OBDII though... the 96 OBDII is bad enough. Plus, I'll be doing a OBDI swap one day.

Yes, OBDII started in 96.

i got something in the mail about an emissions extension on the warranty. it was for all 96-97 models i think, i'll have to find the paper. i think it had something to do with the cat. and the exhaust, but again.. i'll have to find the paper.

They offer a free replacement of your cap and rotor, as well as a set of plugs. The question is....can I just go in and request it? What if I have turbo and all that nonsense?
