Default Whats so great about the 5th gen SOHC torque convertor???

Just thought this would be a good topic.
I remember hearing awhile back that the 5th generation sohc VTEC torque convertors were unusually "good". What qualities make a torque convertor better than another?
I don't know **** about automatic trannies. So, can someone give me the run down?

There is nothing 'unusually good' about any part of a Honda auto. Period.

Ha, they suck.

Running mid 14's and having the tranny slip sucks.

Screw Honda auto trannys.

Not that they are BAD per say, but they are far from performance. The shift points are horrible, the shifts are weak, and long. Auto Hondas arent meant to go fast, and that is quite noticable the second you drive one.

Sure for daily driving they are good. But throw more than 180hp at em, and they turn to Marsha Brady on a 50 dollar date!

heh, I put nitrous on my honda 00 sedan auto tranny and it ate it's self up. the thing is about to die and I've only had nitous on it for 3 months... so get a manual tranny and do the swap or sel that thing and get a manual car. First hand experience Honda auto trannys suczorz M4D P3n1s
