Here is my 95 Civic EX. yes i know its ugly. the reason its 2 different colors is i got in a minor accident and i had to replace the parts. as soon as i get the money imma get it painted all black or a deep,deep,deep royal purple. all opinions welcome.

Thers a some a/c refrigerant coming out of the pipes right by the intake LMAO
DId you sand the valve cover? That means your going to paint it or your going for the ghetto polish look? lol

I think the engine bay would look better if you ran a wet rag with soap around there a little bit. I think you should put the exhaust manifold cover back on as well because it makes the engine look "nicer" lol.

im gonna paint the valve cover.a few days later i painted the letters an anodized blue while the rest is still waiting to be painted red.

 

IMO, you should forget the paint. Swap it as soon as possible. That will be a <U>great</U> start.

 

Engine bay is freakin disgusting. Additionally its looks alot crappier becuase of the matching accessories...along with the dirty engine bay.

Drop it a bit, rock the steelies, clean the engine bay (makes engine happy) and is that a tiny "I left a tool under the hood" dent on the passenger side? If so it should take about two minutes to get out.

no that dent is a "my radiator hose clamp put a dimple in my hood" dent.
and as far as swapping goes. until i get another vehicle and make this my all out drag car, im staying SOHC. check the sig.

Been there, done that with the 2 colors, my da looks the same way!! I say rock the steelies/sohc and give her a drop

Black looks mean as hell...but be prepared for the cleaning chores.

Aint a thing wrong with the sohc, heck Ive run plenty of them. Are you painting it yourself or taking it the local body shop?

 

im thinkin ill do the primer myself and get somone else to spray it (my friend knows a guy that just painted his 98 civic, 2000 front end coversion, and 2000 si motor RX-8 TITANIUM) whole car for him (and bay) 2g's, with primer work so maybe ill be able to cut down the cost by primering it myself.

yeah black is a bitch to keep looing good. luckily i love to wash and wax cars. my stepdad (98 HX in background) doesnt even wash his and it pisses me off so i washed that day i took the pix cuz it erked me so much.

Perfect. Real smart...do what you can to keep cost down, and it puts you in the project

Yeah Im a clean freak (well at least to my car and garage) and I dont so much mind black, between a california blade, car wash in a bottle (for those darn streaks) and micro cloths it not so bad....oh forgot the daily california brushing
