Just started on my new project. Picked up a long block from Len on Friday and disassembled it for inspection. Looks promising.

Full build. Bore .25 over.
P72 head with Alaniz OEM+ Valve job
CTR pistons
Undecided on rods (heard bad things about Eagle, and I want lightweight rods)
All new seals and bearings
ARP studs
Mic'd & balanced crank
Undecided on valvetrain and cams

 

sweet. some todas would be nice

 

Actually I was pondering doing a full OEM build

JDM ITR rods
CTR pistons
CTR/ITR cams

etc...

Your rods are fine.. If not.. then Probes, IB are budget priced and very light.

I would go w/ p30's.

what cams you'd like.

 

might want to think about something other than Alaniz too, I haven't had good luck with my setup (his head). Although, my eagle rods are just fine, no problems there.

 

I've also heard that JDM ITR rods are balanced from the factory, if I find that to be true, I will run them.
