Someone linked me to this website where they're using my pics....

Do you think I can get some free stuff if I tell them that if they want to use my pics, they should reimburse me? I probably won't get shiet, but I might as well ask.

I highly doubt it but it's worth a try.

 

If you ask and demand compensation or you will pursue legally then they will.

On HondaHookUp.Com, there was a guy with a Mr2 and they showed his car

and were displaying the body kit and there were 3 pictures. He emailed

professionally and ended up getting a $900 Tein suspension for the use of his pics

for 2 years.

 

WOW! I should try emailing them then...I really don't care, but if I can come out with something free (other than damn stickers), then shoooooot..

 

if you threaten to sue the snot out of them if they dont, then yeah you have a good chance.

thats funny that they took your pic and put their logo all over it. and then, on top of that, i tried to right click to show you guys what im talking about and they have it blocked so you cant steal the pic. LOL

dont just threaten to sue, actually do if they dont compensate

yeah, they're Volk GT-C's...don't have them anymore...only had them for about 3 months before I got rid of them. I miss them...very nice wheels...heavy, but nice.

 

you prolly will get something...... a local guy found that his probe was being advertised on GTP's site or something and he told them shove it, etc, etc. he ended up with a new cf hood and a full kit for cost

Hahaha, I noticed that too. ******* classic. They stole your ****, called it their own, then prevented others from stealing what they just stole. Basically, they are thieving bastards. Threaten to sue or ask for compensation. If they don't give you anything, then ACTUALLY sue them for stealing your images

 

Sad thing is, while going through that site, there really isnt anything good on that site. Bunch of crap products if you ask me. Id ask for something else

those places are shady, i found a friends a car at a local car shops website, they took a pic of the car at a car show and put it on their site to advertise, my friend went to the shop asking for compensation, and they said no and took the pictures out of the site right away and this was just hours after he came in there....now they only use pictures of the SCCA cars and Super Touring Cars. I hate that shop stupid F$%(KS ... it's ARD Performance formally known as Advance Performance. They are going out of business soon

 

cmon dude, what has this world gone to? is this really necessary to try to get something from someone. i would be happy enought that someone is rockin my cars picture on their site. some ppl try to take advantage of too many things

 

that pic is leagally yours and isn't legally allowed to be posted/used without your permission....

It's the law man....

Think about it - say for example you paint a picture. You put all your time, money and effort into making that painting. Then all of a sudden, you find out someone is trying to claim that painting as theirs. No credits have been given to the original artist. What about that situation? Same principle. All in all, I really just want free stuff! lol

 

is your kit an actual "rocketz" kit? if it is I dont know about getting much but if it isn't you could probably get a lot because not only are they using a picture they didn't take and haven't "paid" for they are also claiming someone else's product as their own.

nope, it's genuine C-West products...I emailed them but didn't get a response yet...we shall see..

 

Get a lawyer to call them and then have him/her to talk to the manager or owner. I'm sure that will shake them up a bit.
