correct, sorry for the mistake, isnt type one a shop that is merged with Spoon Sports?, T1R is a total diff. brand, but most people call T1R -"type one" which is where people get mixed up

All this info is correct.

The problem is people confuse Type-One with T1R all the time.

I have a T1R exhaust, so says the box it came in.

i'll let you in on a little something. type one (the shop in japan owned by spoon) doesn't make a single header or exhaust. some other taiwanese company ripped their name, and decided to sell stuff with their name on it claiming to be type one. so if you are thinking about getting any type one products with the hope that it is from the shop in japan, don't buy them. they are just crap products with the type one name on em. the only real stuff to come from over their is the spoon products. type one doesn't make anything themselves, or sell anything with their name on it.

Although it is true that Type One the Spoon affiliate makes no parts at all. T1R is not Taiwanese. Ask AJ Racing, they are the distributor. And you shouldn't knock T1R products since you obviously have not tested them. I made very good power with their catback and header.

Only speak from experience......not just out of your ***.

Considerin the guy said about T1R made in Taiwan is true. AJ will never tell you that it is made in Taiwan but it is. I'm not sayin their **** sucks. But it is the truth.. I mean next time ask Where in Japan T1R is made in

Also some spoon products are made in Other countries since they have things contracted so other companies make their stuff

Spoon does not own a manufacturing facility. They contract all their work, or perform in house modifications to already manufactured parts.

Example, Spoon wheels are made in Russia.

Not hating on you Marshall... That Vid was awesome....

*Clear things up*

Type One Doesnt equal T1R

T1R is made in Taiwan
T1R Another way of AJ making money
AJ Claim made in Japan which is Not True
T1R exhaust seems to make power nonetheless

Okay......well let's give you the benefit of the doubt. Let's say it is made in Taiwan. As long as that **** makes power and doesn't rust then I could give a flying **** if that **** was made in Antarctica.

If you know anything about business, you'd know that quality does not depend on what country the part was made. It depends on the individual company. Making a stereotype saying that all Taiwanese products are crap is just as ignorant as making a racial stereotype.

Every country has it's bad companies. DC sports headers rust like **** and they are made in the US. So does that mean all US products are crap??? Give me a break man.

I have the first generation T1R products. They fit perfect, never rusted, and make power. Like I said that should be all that's important.

I can guarantee you that just because it's jdm does not mean that it is of superior quality. Japanese metal is not stronger, less prone to rust, or made of some magical fairy dust. Don't believe all the hype.

All my T1R boxes for my exhaust components say Made in Japan. Regardless of where it is made, I am very happy with their products.

It comes with a silencer so noise really isn't an issue

I also recommend the T1R testpipe. This system is by no means quiet though. It sounds great, but definately loud.

speaking from my ***.. haha. sorry buddy, but you're wrong. type one doesn't make any products at all. if they have good gains, ok. if they are quality, ok. i'm not saying anything about the actual product, except that they are made in taiwan, not by spoon, or anything affiliated with them. someone just used the name.

cleanin up

Type 1 Racing - http://www.aj-racing.com/
(no offical hompage for T1R , AJ Racing create Type 1 Racing so...)

Type One - http://www.typeone.jp/
( garage from Spoon ..they located right across from Spoon buildin,
also same onwer of spoon )

in my infos their are different companies
Type One is more like garage with tools and has no products at all
without counting stickers and key rings..etc
Type 1 racing is the name of all products AJ-Racing produced

hope this helps you

Im currently runnin T1R B-pipe I like the quality and perfom ,
rattling problem can eazly fixed by adjustin or removin heat shield
like jdmspoonitr said if I didn't like it I would blame the company
not to the country where the part was made
