Default anyone running a gen4 h22 header on a 5th gen h22a4 sh??

im wondering if anyone is running a 4th gen h22 header on their 97+ sh. im in the process of gettin my header back from greddy (long story), and i wanna know what mods i will have to do to make it fit. i noticed that on 92-96 ludes, they have longer downpipes than that 97+ sh's.

also, would the mount have to be cut off then welded back on elsewhere??? not sure if that is needed. i know that i would either have to move back my cat or get a straight pipe in order for this to fit. lastly.. would having atts being a concern? Thanks

yes people are running that. search for the greddy header on a 5th gen. there is a quick write up of what you need to do to get it to fit.

your concern with ATTS would be cat placement. from what im told this is why we have a differance between base and SH exhausts/headers

what do u mean? that car is far away from my atts unit. the mount thing in front of the flexpipe that bolts onto that atts unit, is what concerns me. i dont think that mount is in the same place on the 92-96 headers. which leads me to belive i would have to cut off the mount then reweld it on at the correct spot.

who cares about the mount. unneeded crap. if however you are worried about it take a hanger off of your stock exhaust and have that welded into place and use a rubber donut. my new header doesnt even have a hanger on it. itll be ok.
