Just got a H22 civic race car. Gonna run all motor, but working on a budget. Im use to playing with 8cyl engines but decided to cross over to the sport compact side... what and where should I start??
Car is a 89-91 style civic HB... tubed front, with JDM H22...
Ideas would be great...

race header, upgraded suspension, and intake setup be it a ram air or individual throttle bodies. That light of a chassis should make for some quick times without breaking open the motor.

i realy dont know alot about them.</TD></TR></TABLE>
pretty much...you'd just get a set of ITBs and run a Ram air box directly into them

Cant forget a race clutch and slicks either. Go with an unsprung hub clutch disk(6 or 4 puck) and get some 22x8 M&H slicks on some light rims. That should help you get some quick times.

I say go and get a bunch of seat time first, driving this VS driving the rwd v8's is going to take alot of getting used to..................John
Mullet??? hahaha... I dont think cause he has a V8 means he is a mullet, although.. with a camero shoulda called him self Joe Dirt.
Some good suggestions... I think it will be a decent platform to start on.

Intake
Header
Exhaust (if you want to run on the street)
Cams
Head Work
Pistons
Sleeves
That will put you in the 215-230 whp range and 11's with the right suspension and slicks.

Don't think he'll need the exhaust since it's a race car. Don't know of any tubed front street cars
We actually hit 11s without all those goodies. Just need some good tuning.
