Default wiring speakers

hi, im installing my new speakers and i see that on my stock speakers theres a male connecter and on the car theres a female connecter. I disconnected the two, can i disconnect the male connecter from the old speaker and just put on the new speaker, although i see no way how.. my main question being, how do i wire my new speaker up?

Splice the wires if you want to keep the harnesses.
I would ditch them since they are lower grade and too thin.

No need to solder anything really. You could just get some connectors from your local parts store and some wire crimpers, then just crimp the connectors to the ends of the wires. However, from experience it is better to solder your connections. Of course that is my opinion, so do what you can.
