I'm posting this message for a friend who just blew his motor, and I'll have to admit.. i don't know much about y7's, 8's Zwhatevers for EG+ civics so i need some help before i punch a hole in my monitor where the 'search' option is.
I want him to get a low k OBD2 motor - but i want to keep this cheap and here are my questions..
- What would be the best engine for him to get? (96+, swap ease important)
- If i use the Intake mani/dist/ecu from his B7 will an obd2 motor work fine? or do i need to run this thing off a 1.6 ECU (p28?)
- Any tranny/flywheel issues? He just got a new clutch for his B7
Damn... i don't know **** about SOHCs.. hehe
I don't want to play trial and error with someone elses car so opinions, suggestions please and thankyou..

Get either a new D16Z6 or a JDM D15b. The hassle of an OBD2 block won't begin to offset the costs (which will probally be higher on a newer block anyway).
