Default possible to port and "contour" IABs?

after looking at a picture of the IABs in my helms i began to wonder if i would see any gains if i were to smooth out the whole piece so that all of the ports taper-out towards the top of the manifold. so that instead of it being flat and having edges, the whole topside would be smoothed help with flow. personally i think this would make the whole system flow better, and i would also be polishing (inside) the manifold and TB to help out even more with flow. anybody ever try this or am i the first to ever consider it (which i doubt)?

p.s.: or quite possibly i should lay off the crack

This has been covered a billion times....... removal/ porting..... removal results in shitty lowend unless you're FI with a EMS of sometype then its not so bad. Mine are out completly.... as in the whole friggin piece..... and then the material on the top and bottom pieces of the IM has been removed....... so its more or less like a sheetmetal intake..... just a cast heavier verison..... probably flows worse in certain ranges too
