Does anyone know the specs of the IB Spec Wiseco pistons? I'm looking at the 88mm 12.5:1 and wanting to know the recomended Piston to Cylinder Wall clearance that they give for an All Motor application. Also I'm wanting to know what the manufacturing tolerance is? Such as +.0002 or -.0000 (Meaning the maximum difference they could be). What were your guy's Wiseco specs when you bought them?

 

here's "alldata's" stock specs: .0004-.0016 piston to cylinder wall w/ .002 max clearance. this is for a stock gsr block......w/ stock pistons.... so i'm guessing that applies to 88mm which are fricken gigantic.... jezz

 

I'm wanting to know the P-W clearance for their forged pistons, not factory Honda pistons. I know its .0003-.0012 for the H22. These are H22 pistons, thats why its 88mm. Stock is 87mm.

 

o, i c.... was gonna say! but anyways...... i bet they use stock clearance... i doubt they go tighter, if anything they'd prolly go looser

 

e-mail IB, when you buy the pistons they should come with a spec sheet...

My 89mm ENDYNs had Piston to Wall Clearance 0.0029" - 0.0030" for NA

 

i dont know if b series or h series are diff..but ib quoted me this in the email ".0032 is for turbo, all motor is .0029" thats there ib spec wiseco piston to wall clearance..

 

Awesome, thanks guys. Thats what I was thinking. JE's tolerance is +.0002 -.0000 meaning they will never be smaller than the said diameter and only .0002 bigger.

 

true, contact IB, they may be slow on responses, but when you do receive one, it'll have your answers.
