Inexpensive brake upgrade for 92-95 Accords
I have figured out that the 11" brakes from the Accord wagon will bolt on the Accord 4 cyl knuckles. This will give you an 11" brake vs the 10.3" . While not a huge increase in size, it will make a noticeable difference in stopping power.
All you need are the rotors and calipers from the Accord wagon, just swap those parts and you're done.

Keep in mind. You have increased brake rotor surface. However, it wont be effective unless you change to the Accord Wagon Rotors. The pad remains the SAME size. Same surface friction.

Sweet. Hey, does anyone know if EBC brake pads are any good for the Accords. I'm going to sawp out my pads and shoes tomarrow, and I was wondering if they were worth getting? Thanks.
I've heard a lot of bad things about EBC and no good things.
What do you use your car for? Does it see any autocross or track time?

I too finally confirmed info... here is the result of my inquiry:
"we used the calipers and rotors off of the 96-97 Accord V6. you don't need
any additional parts and the difference in breaking is dependent on the how
good the driver is. we have not experienced any warpping as of yet."
if I remember correctly, the Accord V6 used the same brakes as the Accord wagon...

how many parts from my caliper assembly are compatible with that of a caliper assembly designed to hold a .7" larger brake rotor? i'm just trying to economize everything here...
I 6G started with rotor over hub design. I don't know if the 5G wagons had that or the hub over rotor like the sedans/coupes.
According to Majestic auto parts (www.hondaautomotiveparts.com), the 5G Accord Wagon brakes are indeed hub-over-rotor design... however, the part # is the same for the rotors in the 5G Wagon and 5G EX.... same with the V6s... so, is the diagram and part numbering incorrect on the website or what? is there a better online source that we should be looking at?
I just went to http://www.oem-car-parts.com and it yielded the results that i was hoping for... 5G Accord front brake rotors are different from 5G V-6 Accords and Acura 97-98 3.0CL front brake rotors... $73.15 for each front rotor...
So....? Does that mean this brake upgrade is a rotor over hub design? Sounds like we'd need to swap everything, hub, wheel bearing, rotor and caliper. Probaby not too pricey and worth it from a junkyard? I dunno I bet those calipers are rare and expensive.
Arent the accord wagon brakes the same as the ITR? I heard that once. I have no idea if its true or not. Can anyone confirm this?
No, the V-6 and Accord Wagons use the same hub-over-rotor design that 4G and 5G Accords use...
As for the caliper assemblies, the best source would be to look at some junk yards probably... any other source is going to be outrageously priced....

And no, the V-6 Accord and ITR brakes are not the same... I don't remember the stats of the ITR brake rotors' diameter (which may be the same size), however, ITRs had a 5 bolt design, not a four bolt design... plus the hub design on Integras is quite different than the design on Accords..
