im doing a swap for a friend .. he has a 91 HB DX , i went to hybrid garage and got the list for the DPFI to MPFI conversion. hooked it up exactyl how it said and we turn the motor on fine but when i hit the gas the motor wont hardly do anything but sputter and backfire and all kinds of junk,..wont rev past like 2K either.. the car is stuck in my driveway and he has to go to work in about 5 hrs.. so any help would be appreciated..

 

Did you reverse that one connection? I believe its the TPS sensor.

 

Have you tried the fuel filter? And are there any codes on the computer about an injector misfire?

 

My b16 crx dx did this and it was my ignition module in the distributor does it misfire and stuff when u give it gas?? hope this helps

what all do you need to do that swap

 

yes i reversed the TPS connection.. its still doin it.. no codes about injectors.. code was 21 vtec solenoid cause i dont have it hooked up yet..
