Default Type r a poorly made car from a bad company

Why is it that the type r has so many problems and then when you take it to the dealership for something simple like your seats look like a dog chewed them up after 10,600 miles they tell you they won't warrenty them, apperantly that's normal wear, my 1991 eclipse's inteior honestly looks better. I called corporate and they said they'd look into it but it is unlikely that the descion will be changed. I guess it's time to get a WRX. I used to think Honda's were the greatest thing on earth.

Sounds like your not taking care of the car, My interior was in mint condition at 15,000 and still looked great at 70,000 miles with alot of daily driving.

After 2 years and 28,000 miles my seats look fine. I do wonder how the left side lumbar support on the drivers seat will hold up in the long term though. It seams like you butt has to rub harshly against it evry time you get, or maybe I just have a huge *** but I don't think thats the case.

I drive the car hard but It never stays dirty, I've taken very good care of it just like the rest the cars I've owned that this never happened to.

Get the WRX.

Define "so many problems".
It seems like you only stated one.

Pick up some Acura seat covers from the dealership. The only 75 bucks or so. They will keep your seats in ultra mint condition.

Exactly...wait until this guy experiences some tranny *issues* from dropping the clutch in his new WRX.

My R has 9600 hard earned miles from the road course and AutoXing and she's held up quite well.

Yeah like the other are saying. Buy a wrx. Only then you'll realise type-r's are one of the greatest cars ever built.

I'm just going to replace them with some Sparco Evo 1's, I should have the engine back together soon after the valve spring retainer broke and caused me to throw a valve and destroy the head, after 2 months of waiting for Acura to locate a type r head I found a used one on my own, I'm using heavier duty valve springs and titanium retainers now, I'll never trust OEM.

Heavy duty valve springs will increase friction and reduce power.

It's possible I've been unusually unlucky but when the corparate customer service blows you off you have to wonder if they really even care, this may the wrong board to try to assert that honda's aren't perfect. I've never complained about the cars performance though when it is running, the worst dealer was when BMW just put thicker transmission fluid in my 318ti when it was rattling and then took 3 trips to fix the stereo.

Poorly made car? really? I think you're just joking...
and for a Bad company... well.. it is all depend on the people who runs them...
I went to a Honda/Acura with good manager, bad manager.. so it's all depends..
as for the dog chewed interior... I have nothing to say... but mine looks good..
lots of stains and such.. but who cares?
wear and tear? well.. Car is only a car... just like other stuff.. just use it.
Car depreciate anyway.. so just use it to the fullest... that's my philosophy...
(and get some spares if you can if you decide to keep the car forever like me).

Seat Cover? I need one.. is it a tight-pressed one or just the white cover one?

lol and I'll never trust you to drive my car.

Let me guess, if you tell yourself enough, you really can blame honduh when you misshift?

I treat my integra like ****. I wash it MAYBE once every 6 months. I never clean out the interior except when I put the cage in it. I do need to condition the seats again though.

Honda paint SUCKS *** but other than that I've had no problems with my car.. 36k on it and it's never even seen the dealer service center once.

My friend had tranny problems with his car though...

(oh yeah, I have a gs-r, maybe it's better made than your Integra RS (that happens to have a differnet motor/brakes/et cetera ) right? lol)

I think either you don't even own a type r, or you shouldn't own one.
Otherwise I don't see how anyone could ever say "poorly made car from a bad company"

Everyone can defend their cars to the last, I still love my car but from MY personal expirance I have a lot of doubts, I've read of 3 other people throwing valves, one guy replaced it with a Jun crate motor so I guess he was happy in the end.

One of the greatest car ever built, whoa I think that we are getting alittle ahead of ourselves, I mean come on there only so much you can do with FF before the torque stear make the car not fun in the twisties, I admit that yes the car might be powerful, have execptional handeling but lets not pull a John Lennon and claim to be biger than Jesus( I know it a weird anallogy but work with it! every second post is saying how someone in an R beat some 60 000 dollar FR car, or that a WRX is crappy, or that a C5 isn't fast)

You're right, we all are entitled to our opinions. Just seems like making a statement like that and then only complaining about the seats doesn't give the car justice . I could see my mom saying that "My cadillac seats are much nicer" LoL, no offense.

I don't understand when people complain without a purpose. If there is something wrong then fix it. If there is a shortcoming with the car, then let us know so we don't do the same thing. If you like something else better, go for it. Each car that rolls off the line is a little different, so your seats may be 'lemons' .. don't let one example define your opinion.
