DPFI-MPFI B16 problems . . . HELP!
I have just finished my DFPI-MPFI B16 swap. I had 7 codes when I first started, and now im down to 1, code 4 crank angle sensor. I searched and it said to check the dizzy, wiring and ECU. I changed dizzys, ECUs, and completely started over on all my wiring. I still have a damn code 4. Its still not revving over 3K. Is there anything else I can do???
did you wire the 2 wires from the distributor harness to the ecu where the crank angle sensor is suppose to go also did you put all the distributor pins on the right place on the dizzy motor harness hope this helps
if swapping the two white wires does not help then you may want to just un pin the male and female plug, and plug the pins directly into each other... that was you can quickly find the right combo of pins...
I have switched the white wires, when it is one way the car will not start, and the other it will start. My dizzy wiring is 100% correct. The blue/green, blue/yellow are in C1 and C2 just like they are supposed to be and the wires out of C1 and C2 are in B10 and B12.
make sure you got the right wire at the right ecu pin. like make sure the b/g wire is on the right pin and make sure hte b/y wire is on the right pin. also make sure those wires are in the right spot on the dist. did you ever try and switch the wires and see what happnes ?

Yes, I swapped the wires at the ECU, and the dizzy and the car will still start.
I think that the problem is in B10, and B12 but could this make the car not rev over 3K?

Hey...
was this on a Dx?
If so did you repin the dizzy?
IF you did then thats where the problem is... because i had someone come over and i dropped my dizzy on his b16 well it fired right up on his setup. But we had just gotten lucky because the pin locations and wires matched up.
However on my harness even tho i matched up the pin locations, the wires were not matched up correctly.
so just pop out the pins on both sides of the harness and you can easily find the right combo within 5 mins or so....
hope that helps...
And it sounds like you had the ecu pinouts all set...
B10&b12 to c1&c2 since it fires up then the injector wiring is ok...

Yea, I converted to OBD1 after trying everything else there was to do. Its now OBD1 with a P61 (93 GSR) ecu. Still throws code 9, which is basically the same as crank angle, but the car revs like there is no tomorrow
