Will a muffler from a 1994 Accord 2DR EX fit on a 1996 Accord EX 4DR? Does it simply bolt in or is there any modifcation needed?

Will the cat from a 1994 Accord 2DR EX fit on a 1996 Accord EX 4DR? Any modification needed to make it work?

im not sure about the cat, but you can simply go to a parts website and see if their product #'s match, if so then yes they fit...

but muffler if its just the oem Muffler and not piping, yes it should fit also.

and oh yea, if im not wrong you might need to get a shorter hanger, i think the 96 bumper has a round cutout for the exhaust and a 94 doesnt, correct me if im wrong on this... but if i remember right then yea

 

doesnt a 96-97 cat have some type of sensor in it because its obd2 and the 94-95 doesnt?

 

Yeah, I believe there is an o2 sensor for the 96 is inside the Cat while the 94 has the 02 sensor in front of the cat.
They probably wont be interchangeable then.

 

Yes, the 96 Accord Cat does have an o2 sensor located in it.

The 94 Accords don't? That gonna suck because I messed up the threading where the o2 sensor is supposed to go on my 96 Accord.

Also, I checked for the part number of the muffler set at Majestic Honda online and the part numbers are the same except for the last digit which is 1 digit apart. Can anyone confirm if it will fit?

Nope, I replaced the cat last year on my 94 accord. O2 sensor is definitely upstream of the Cat. Nothing inside the cat.
