For those that live in Vancouver, British Columbia???
There is very little snow in Vancouver during the winters...just rain.
Salt is only used up to a certain temperature as it is useless in areas where the temperatures drop to -20°C or below.

Is it true that they don't use road salt during the winters?
Someone in Vancouver should come and talk to someone in Toronto. Our city must be the unoffical "King of Road Salt" Its a bloody mess.
generally no salting in the greater vancouver area, unless there is tons of black ice. even then they would use sand first...
true, it rarely snows here compared to alberta or ontario, but when it does it's really ugly because of the hills and idiots who won't even buy all-season tires
. problem is that our stupid road maintenance funds barely cover a few snowfalls at most, so they skimp alot on sanding and plowing.

I think Toronto has used their entire budget this year on getting Wrestlemania.

you should see the salt they use in ottawa... i would hose my car down everyday because of it
