Okay...I have a 92 civic si and just swapped a 95 b18c1 into her.... Took for a test drive and ran fine all the way up to 8200 redline... after about 10 min of testing, she cut off. Got her back to the house, and then she would start, then die right away.

Replaced distributor and swapped fuel pumps from a 95 teg (think they're the same, so shouldn't really matter unless the fuel pump was bad, but has been swapped), she started up, idled about 5 min, then cut off. Swapped ecu's from a 93 teg, same deal. Starts and cuts off immediately.

Checked spark from plugs, getting spark. Only error codes from ecu are 23 (knock sensor) and 41 (o2 sensor), neither of which are hooked up, but shouldn't effect my car actually STARTING and running...

Has new tank of 93 octane gas, so not worried about gas.

If you need any other info, please let me know....other than that....any suggestions? I just want this girl RUNNING!!! Any help would be appreciated.

 

well if you have spark, you are probably getting air, the last thing is fuel, and if you are getting that, you need to go into initial timming. i.e. the timming belt make sure that is correct.

 

car has brand new timing belt...i'm sure it's not there....compression test maybe?

 

well if it has fuel, spark, and air, it is either initial timming or catastrophic engine failure.
