Default crx b18c swap running b16a ecu?

i have a 91 crx witha b18c swap with skunk 2 manifold running a b16a1 ecu and distributer,the car does not seem to pull as hard as it should in vtec and i was wondering if it would be faster if i converted it to a obd1 p72 ecu?

well since it would require more fuel than a B16, yes, you should convert to the correct ECU to make it run right. the OBD1 conversion is not that difficult....check the link in my sig for one of many references.

It will be but not by a ton... Both are very LEAN maps (the PR3 and the P72), not to mention the fact that the P72 has an even lower VTEC point.

So since you're saying your VTEC isn't hitting hard, lowering it even more isn't going to help as far as strength.... But in the end yes you are going to produce a bit more of power a P72....

However you should maybe check out an OBD-0 Rom Editor program like http://www.turboedit.org or http://www.pgmfi.org or http://www.ghettodyne.com
