Default Tein Basic/SS, how low on 5th gen?

Hey guys,

I'm looking at getting a set of Tein Basic or SS coilovers, and i need to know how low they can go on a 5th gen. I have a set of Tanabe's at the moment and they just dont go low enough for what i want. Even though i had to take the helper springs out get them at a semi-low height (handles much better without those too BTW...), they still arent as low as the normal lowering springs i had.

So if anyone with these Teins can post pics of how low they go on the lowest perch i would be very grateful. No one here has these coilovers, so i have no idea whether its worth me importing a set. I need coilovers though to have the car completely legal, as they wont allow non-captive springs to pass inspection.

Cheers

like 650 for basic and 850 for SS...the spring rates seem to be the same/similar to the Tanabe's i have, which is good, nice and stiff, they just need to go low enough!

i have OBX coilovers in my accord now and the ride is way too damn bouncy. Hopefully the teins will get rid of that ride. I cant stand it

it's wouldnt tuck your tires in.

if you are taking out those helper spring, i would recommend you to get a set of crappy coilover instead(with some stiff **** damper)

Removing the helpers improved both the ride and handling, also with them in the lowest the coilovers could go was literally an inch lower than stock. Why on earth would you need the adjustment to be an inch below stock and 2-3 inches higher than stock i'll never know...

The tanabe's at the moment go about 2.25" lower with the helpers removed.

If the Tanabe's wont tuck tyres then sounds like they would go about that low also
