I think this is the first thread i've started here, but I've got a question. I've got a b18c (gsr) in my del sol with skunk2intake mani, intake, & exhaust. I'm looking for my next mod and I'm considering either pistons (which ones are the best bang for the buck) or cams (same deal) my current setup is 10.6:1 compression, and the motor will be staying N/A

 

I would get a set of Skunk2 stage 1 or 2 Cams and Skunk2 cam gears, but you will need a new valve traine if you get those cams. Correct me if im wrong.

Pistons !!! bump comp to 11.8 and your set, then when you put in cams woot you will feel like your in a rocket ship

 

What's up jeremy. The compression you decide to go with would also depend on your cams. It's hard to decide to pick one over the other when both mods work best together. With 10.6:1, you may not have the compression to support some more aggressive cams. I'd suggest some ITR/CTR cams or even the skunk2 stage 1's. And after that I'd suggest throwing in some OEM pistons. Go with either some JDM ITR's with a 2-layer headgasket, or even go with some b16a pistons (pr3 or p30) for some good compression. When you do a mod, you have to have some sort of an idea what you want to go with in the future. Soon I may go with some pr3 pistons to help compliment my ITR cams. But turns out nobody wants to trade pistons for stuff I have with sentimental value. JK.
