ok but on the b9 slot is there a free wire, to use? if so try it . i use a jdm itr gauge so yours will be a different color.
welll, it's seem we have same thing here, I got JDM gauge cluster from Integra,
so they don't have SRS, 3 wire I didn't connect with civic, they are
7-Power(Blk/Yel)
9-ABS(Blu/Red)
15- Door switch(Lgt Grn/Red)
but I have tried all of them my dimmer switch not work too.
so how did you connect dimmer switch on yours.
Thanks

dimmer wire on 92-95 civic (should be the same for 98 also)
red wire from car side goes to solid black wire on plug side
two black wires you want the solid black and not the blk/yellow wire.

Getting the job done and doing something correclty are two different things. I could hold my engine in the bay using bailing wire and it would "get the job done"... Doesn't mean its smart.

hey it works fine. sorry you dont like it. its not a show car and instead of soldering every plug then putting eletrical tape over each plug, i use the plastic ones you see above. much easier and no need to cover them with tape, and if i need to put in my oem cx cluster it is very easily done. and no worry with any shorts either since all the crimps are covers....
sorry you dont like it. but lets not start an arguement guys... everyone is intitled to any opinion negative or positive...

you did the great job on the wires
, cause I just use tape on the wire. it's easy for me. Thanks man, I will try that black wire maybe tomorrow, if it's work I will let you know.

here are some info that I found on my JDM cluster. on the 13 Pin the black wire(#8) I didn't connect with civic wire but leave unused everything still work fine. I don't know I think it's maybe not ground. the Red/Blk with single silver strie on 16 Pin(#7) is for gauge light. it' same function as dimmer on the Integra cluster. but I don't know how to make them work, I have try to use #7 connect with 2 wires
(gauge light wire and dimmer wire)on civic's wire, and then just work for maybe 5 sec then my fuse was blowed. after I replace the fuse I think it's # 25, my dimmer function was totally not work, before it's work on other interior light such as AC.but now it's doesn't worked. I don't know why,
so I figure on integra there have one wire for Dimmer and gauge light, but on civic there are 2
wires, so how can I connect them make them work, or how can I just make my dimmer switch work again.
Thanks alot.

well what i did was i used the green film and folowed it to all the wire spots it went to... this is after finding all the single wire connections that i know were properly wired,, that will only leave you with a couple of places where to wire it.. and with a little trial and error you can find out which is which...
about 95% of the wires match up color for color i only had to change about 4 wires on the gauge and 2 wires on the srs to get everything to work...

you also have to remember wires will not match up clip for clip. you will be matching up wires from car side that normally were on clip b, but now will go to the other clip...
yea, I know what yo mean, but I don't know how to fix the dimmer switch as before. I put my civic gauge back on my car with no problem cause I still have the connector on my wire, but after I put everyting back the dimmer switch still doesn't work. what happend?
Thanks
Thanks

i used to have a problem in my 95 civic ex coupe where the guage lights wouldnt work and i would have to tap the dimmer switch and all it would do is flicker on and turn off and found out the set of 3 switches the dimmer is attached to is 30 dollars used so i decided i would use one of those racing toggle switches with a carbon fiber flip up cover for 10 an excellent place to locate these toggle switches for this purpose is on the piece of plastic that covers the gauges and vents its easy to remove and easy to see where your running your wires the best location on the piece of plastic for this is to the left of the hazard light button and the clock just take it out drill about a half inch hole and mount the switch. what you need to do to the existing dimmer switch is cut the solid red wire and black wire as close to the quick connect as you can leave the red wire with the black stripe attached and wrap the wires and quick connect with electrical tape this is the dimmer wire note if you hook it up through a toggle switch it will always be max brightness you cant dim the light but you can see your gauges at night and the toggle switch is used to cut the gauge lights on after your headlights are on. get some wire same size and crimp connectors and crimp adaptors for the toggle switch connect the wires with the crimps at the old toggle switch the best way to run these wires is just under the gauges there is a perfect gap for them to lay in unharmed do this with the plastic around the gauges off when the wires are ran and the crimp adapters are on attach them to the toggle switch and reatach the plastic note they will only cut on via toggle when headlights are on i have noticed a lot of people have this problem ps if you get a used switch from another car it will probably be shortly lived as well there arent aftermarket ones that are oem i recomend doing this hope this helps good luck
