what's the point of buying one of these things? Is the price vs performance that great?

An Autopower roll cage only goes for about 250-350 for the 4-pt. So it is alot cheaper.

Search for links created by the user "nosepkr" and you will find a couple posts created by me when I used to use that name. One of them includes pics of my old car, there catalog and links to there website.

The center "X" bar itself cost me about 400.00 and the additional top and bottom bars are like an additional 400 and it goes the same for the side bars. You can also find them for sale on yahoo auctions japan just use babel-fish to translate the pages.

Id say it was 50/50 for me. 50% bling and 50% function. That bar is strong as hell and I think it looks cool too. Regardless of what other people think.

good idea. A cage will add more rigidity than every strut bar put together, plus it will save your life.
