Here's the deal, my little brother is on his 2nd B16A...This time around to avoid destroying this motor like the first (from high revving), he got a Skunk2 valvetrain...However, Skunk2 could not chip the ECU because it is OBD 0, so the guy he ordered the **** from sent it to JET Electronics...Well about 2 months later he finally got the damn thing back...Doubting the guy that 'sent it off', he opened it up to check and see the differene between it and the ECU from his other B16A (the dead one)...SO do any of you know wether or not JET's chip has their logo on it or a specific number...He doesn't want to use the ECU if it has not programmed even though I told him that'd be the most straight-foward way to find out DOES ANYBODY KNOW what to look for? Skunk2 did mine and their NICE enough to send paperwork and put stickers all over, so I'm clueless what to tell him to look for!
call hondata or visit http://www.hondata.com and send them the numbers on the chip and they can tell you if its factory honda or not. you should have sent it to hondata in the first place, jet works well for domestics but hondata are the pioneers for honda computers.
if it looks like there has been any kind of de/soldering on the bottom side of the ecu. Ive heard of JET not even touching an ecu and just slapping a sticker on it.

Jet is proably one of the biggest chipping companies. The Honda world in chipping just doesnt make that much money thats why they dont sell that many has they charge much more then most honda chippers in the 80-150 range. also Jet chips are very similar to stock so they dont run very agressive like mugen/skunk2 progams.

http://jet.webtrix.net/. Wow that company looks like it has no rep except for the thousands of products. The world isn't just about hondas. people like you make this site suck. Talking out of your *** about a legit company like Jet. Good job.

do a search for jet-chip on this board. all you will get is unanswered questions about it.
and yes i am saying their rep for hondas is non existent, still.

ive actually called jet before, and this was for my brothers car, a tbird, and he had a question about his chip, so i made the call. After talking to the rep for a bit, i asked about my honda and he said its really not worth ur time, as it turns out he was a honda guy himself. So if a rep of their company is gonna tell me that, i dont want a jet chip on my car, anyways just get a piggyback.
Sorry to resurrect this thing but anyone know what programs offer what options. I heard that the SPOON chip has this VTEC crossover and this redline..
Thanks
Thanks

Custom for your application is the way to go, off the shelf chips suck.
And I really doubt JET does OBD0 stuff. I have an OBD2 JET chipped ecu here though.

There should be a sticker on the chip itself and JET also puts stickers on the outside so if you open it you have to cut the sticker, but it also voids the warranty on the chip if you cut the sticker. I bought a chip for my P13 in my H22 about 2 years ago and still have it. I now have a p28 Hondata but have yet to put in the car.

I too had a Jet chip made back in '94 or '95 for my '91 Acura Integra. Learned my lesson the hard way, 3 chips all caused the car to go into 'safe mode'. $800 dollars later and I told them to forget it, just give me a base chip...which turned out to be an exact copy of the Mugen chip (verified by Techtom).
Still have it for sale, $50
There is just not much performance gained with an off-the-self chip for Hondas. You need to have it tuned by someone there at the dyno, etc.
