I just in stalled these fog lights on my 01' Lude and was wondering what I had done wrong. Everything works, the problem is that when the car is off the fog light switch is still illuminated amber. When the button is in the on position the green light is on also. All this stays on even though the car is off. Is it supposed to be like this, well i don't think it is. What could have resulted in this? What should I do differently. Let me know

So the fog lights turnoff with the car but the switch illumiation doesnt? HMMM

 

Can I buy your left over fog light covers. I'm local as well.
BTW the problem you're describing should not be happening. I use to have the fog lights. You have a wiring problem of some sort. When I installed mine it seemed pretty straight forward. I also remember this problem being discussed by others.

 

you tapped the wrong lead in the fuse box. You probably used the "12v always on" lead instead of the ignition or city light leads.

 

Then how should I hook it up? I hooked the one with the 2 red wires to #5 and I hooked the one with 1 white wire to #2. let me know

 

I figured it out, you just switch #5 & #2.
