Clutch install price
Hey guys, i tried searching(maybe searching for wrong thing?) but what is the average a shop would charge to installl a clutch and new tranny fluids if i supplied the clutch?

really?!when the dealer changed my clutch about 7 years ago,they charged me six hours labor at $55/h.
i usually charge people $250 when i do it-maybe i need to up my price.

Dealership labor rates are around $70/hour around Columbus. So about $420 if you get charged 6 hours of labor.

wow,that's pretty high.granted,it was seven years ago when my local dealer charged $55/h,but i have no idea what they charge now.

i agree 100%.a Helm can be had for about $70,and you'll use it for so many other things too.a lot cheaper than ANYBODY will do a clutch for.not to mention you don't have somebody who could care less working on your car.

If you snoop around a little--or know some people--you can get a Helms for free.
I agree; my Helms manual has helped me out a lot. I got one for free for my brother's Integra, and it has helped him, too. However, I didn't install my ACT clutch myself; I had a local tuner shop do it (same shop that dyno tuned my engine). They charged me around $275-300, I believe. It has been awhile, so I don't remember exactly, but it's around that area.

Yea, id like to do it my self, i dont like others working on my car, but i dont have time or the facilities as of now

well i may have to make time this week.... not only is the clutch kinda slipping, pilot/throwout bearing is making a nasty noise
