TPS Removal...
Wassup guys, i need to replace my TPS so i got some cheap TB off one of my friends and now i have to take the TPS off, only problem is it's not screwd it, it's hard to describe but it's pretty much a closed top so i cannot screw it off. I did a few searches and some people mentioned they cut a small slit at the top and simply unscrewed it.
I was just wondering if anyone else had some easier or helpful methods of removing the TPS sensor.
Thanks alot, John

take a dremel and notch a slit in it and unscrew....that's about the easiest way you could do it.
It's a breakaway type bolt that goes in there, since it doesn't need adjustment, unless being replaced

i used a hammer and flat screw driver to tap it in a circular motion so it spins out. then i went to my local hardware store and bought some bolts that were the same size as those.

what year CX?if it's a 6th gen i'm not sure it will work since it's a downdraft style manifold.if it's a 5th gen CX it will work for sure.

i'm pretty sure that all the plugs are the same,it's just that the sensor rotates the wrong way.are you sure you're trying the right plug?

a shop manual explains it best, but you want to adjust it so it reads around .5v at closed throttle, and progress to at least 4.5V at WOT.
