Cause it's thin as hell. And they use cheap *** paint. Just in case you didn't notice, hondas aren't exactly luxury cars.. nor are they expensive, you think they are going to put real good paint on them?
My paint is stained, chipped, etc. I took care of it too for the first three months until I realized just how badly it sucked. My 1985 Toyota had better paint when I sold it then my Teg did at the same time.

Dustin, I believe honda uses a polyerethane paint. This is what Jonny told me from Jonnies body shop here in Sacramento. It was a few years ago so I might be mistaken.
Honda uses Black & Decker Waterproof paint on their cars....
Nah, to all who say Honda paint sucks, it's the best! My 94 GSR still looks hella bright and shiney when I wash & wax it. You just gotta take good care of your exterior if you want a long last in the paint.

I think some of us got some shitty clear coat as mentioned earlier, because I take damn good car of my car and right in front of the sunroof and behind it, the paint is getting dull or hazy looking and dont tell me to try this or that, cause I have tried it already .. its the clear coat bottom line...
