Default Reasobable price for stock EG in NJ

Even if you aren't in the tri-state area, please list approximate prices of used cars (with NO modifications).

I'm aware of kbb.com and other appraisal sites, but I've found that very few of these cars are available for sale in my area for one reason or another and I'm trying to decide an appropriate price for my car. The car is in good to excellent condition and the exterior has been painted silver appx one year ago (I don't expect that this will really add any value, maybe just make it more sellable).

Just drop appx. prices for such cars (92-95 civic coupes w/ appx 110-160k miles).

Thanks for your time, again I haven't seen one of these in an auto shopper in over 6 months and haven't seen one in my area's classifieds each time I've looked.

Just looking for benchmarks, please remember to include price/year/mileage and location -- really anything you can remember or approximates.

i bought my 95 ex coupe with some mods for about 4 grand with about 125,000 miles on. Cars around my area dont go cheap.

Also try http://www.autotrader.com i had the most luck looking at cars on there, and you search for them local.. good luck

edit: and coupes were started in 93 not 92

exaactly what year, auto, 5 spd?
EX?DX?
miles?
A/c?need more info.

I wouldnt pay more than 3500 for an EG, maybe 4000 if its a 94-95. All depends on the stuff on the car. I bought a used 97 DX coupe for 4500 with 130 miles and Rotas. No engine oil leaks, A/C

I'm really just looking for general prices so dx, ex are both appropriate, as well as any sedan or hatch model...

Mine is a 93 DX coupe.

wow thats a tight deal ... i think i could probably get that much for mine, but i'm wondering if i may be able to get more since there are so few for sale in my area.

93 civic dx 5sp good condition 150,000 miles
clean title, clean inside and out, non smoker
excellent mechanical condition
regular oil changes runs great
a/c needs repair
nj inspection good til 7/05
painted metallic silver jan 03
black interior in excellent condition
am/fm cassette w/ infinity tweeters
never been modified
great car!

How much do you think would be a reasonable list price for this car?

That does sound like a good deal... Also, it demonstrates that are actually 92 coupes, as I assumed.

Earlier on the post someone wrote " edit: and coupes were started in 93 not 92 "

eg_head: what is your location, the mileage, and condition of the car, thanks.

New Jersey is a tough market to find clean untouched civics. Id start around 3500 for it. I just saw a 97 DX hatchie with 183k on it, ps, sunroof, 5 speed, for 2500...

92 CX, 110,000 miles. Talked the dumb bitch down from $2800 to 1900.

Best investment of my entire life.

yea thats true i guess it could be a hatch. my bad. i recently purchased a 92 cx hatch for $750. Had 169,000 on it but new shocks and struts. No rust and perfect undercarriage which is unusual in the area. Replaced the front seats, passenger side fender, bc the one on the car was slightly damaged, bought a passenger side mirror, and dropped b18c1 swap into it.

I was pleased for what I paid for the car. I kind of wish I waited out for a vx though for the tach.

Great investment. Now I just need to sell my other Civic so I have a bank again.

1. You can swap a VX cluster or any other EG cluster in it (EX as well) that has a tach. Just remove the old and swap the new in.

2. Car's are never a good investment. They're money pits. Especially to guys who like to make them into DIY racecars.
