dude bro cable dosent make it weak it is just a different way of linking the clutch
insteed of of using fluid to do it it is linked with a cable kinda like the throttle

when running a compression test does anyone know what the readings should be? i know within like 10% of each other, but what should the motor squeeze stock?

B18A's dont have the hole for the PCV

But yes, B18A or B18B are almost identical, but I rather have a 94+ block if I'm going to spend the same amount of money.

For B18A/B anywhere around 180 is fine.

As long as the numbers are somehwat close to eachother, it's all good.

well since my D16z6 is 9.2:1 at it's suppose to be 185 so i just assume it's the same for the B series since it's also 9.2:1

the b18b has a much stronger block than the b18a, this is important if your going for Forced Induction.

There are a few reasons to back this up and a few to disprove this. It all depends on how you are setting up the motor. B18a's lack oil squirters, so with factory internals and high horsepower output, it can cause some damage in cases. If you build the motor with forged internals, then you don't need the oil squirters and everything is all gravy. All in all, both motors are great and besided the difference in cams from the 90-91 and the 92+, and the pcv valve the motors are both practically the same. I am currently using a b18a for my current turbo project
