d15b with automatic swap...tranny won't go out of park
Drove the tranny and old motor to my buddies house to swap the motor and the tranny was running fine.
Swapped out the old motor for a JDM d15b while retaining the stock auto tranny. Motor started up fine, but now the tranny won't go out of park unless I hit the automatic gear release button thingy.
Is there something I messed up during the swap?

ya u have the wrong ecu... u have an ecu for a manual... some1 a while back did the same thing as u... just do a search
I switched the ecu to a p08 auto. I also tried the original LX auto ecu and had the same problem so I'm pretty sure its not the ecu.
After some research, I have concluded that there is a brake pedal switch that must be engaged for the shifter to come out of park.
The tranny was still acting really goofy once I was able to put it in gear. It was holding gears for too long and shifting hard.
