da seat belt problems. please help
I'm trying to fix the seat belt on a 90 integra with power seat belts. The passenger side seat belt is stuck down as if the door was open. When I close the it won't move like it is suppose to. Then a couple seconds later the safety light starts flashing then it starts beeping. Is there something that goes out on these belts that is common? maybe a relay? please help...
the switch that controls these seatbelts
is located in the door itself.
so take out the door panel and follow the cables that go near the
door latch....
keep me posted cause I have to do that to my DA sometime this weekend
or if you want to put up with acura dealer they will fix it as well.

it got discontinued due to the fact
that lazy peeps were not wearing the lap belt and in some
accidents the doors opened and you know it peeps flew out the car
so the DOT obligated manufacturers to remove this type of system.
so after 94 you dont see any cars with automatic seatbelts.

They were discontinued in later years because airbags made them unnecessary. To set the record straight, your seatbelts have a lifetime warranty, not because they were recalled, but becaus they came from the factory with this warranty. All Hondas/Acuras, from the 90s and before at least, have this warranty. The warranty is void if they've been physically damaged by a wreck or otherwise, or if they've been modified. It also doesn't cover cosmetic damage. Normal wear and tear is covered though.

Does anyone know more about what happens to you if you are not wearing your lapbelt and you get into an accident? I don't see how you would fly out of your car. I heard that you break your legs, but I am not sure. I am asking this because a lot of people I know never wear their lapbelts and I don't wear mine on short trips.
