Default OT: $900 on a mustang???

My friend has an '03 cobra...Ran it at 12.78@111mph bone stock... Well he just hit the 25,000 mile mark and decided to get some mods... He ordered an intake, pulley, chip and an exhaust all for $900... we just spent last weekend installing all the parts...

I am amazed at how much of a difference it made... ... I am a big honda fan but this car was just outrageous... Heres a link to pics and videos of the car after the install.. Keep in mind there were 900lbs of passengers during the runs( 4 200+ lb people)... We are guestimating that he is running 11.5's on street tires and dynoing about 470rwhp/480rwtq... He is dynoing tomorrow ... Anyway, heres the vids http://www.mustangsvtcobra.com...n_day/

Those stangs are sweet.
im glad that they finally gave the car some real power. It's a shame that they even produced a 4 or 6 cylinder stang. I've never driven a v-8 stang, but my buddy had one (91 gt 5.0)....that thing was a beast.
a mustang lx is like a civic cx or vx...worthless unless your going for gas mileage.
it's the ONLY ford that I would ever buy

Your link is busted, pls fix. Sounds like he has the exact same modifications my friend Jake does, I run dead even with him from a roll

From the sounds of it, not bad for the stock POS blower. Your friend won't get much more out of it (stock blower)... or not enough to be worthwhile for the price it'll cost. Those engines are taking - and liking - 700-1000 whp. Tell him to get s diff blower, swap to turbos, or put a big shot of nitrous on it

j davis...some people are seeing 500rwhp on stock blower with the 03's with just bolt on's... someone with his the same setup as his, intake/exhaust/chip/pulley... just ran 11.2 on et streets... Thats pretty decent...

I think my friend wants to match those times for now... He plans to swap the kenne belle supercharger later on along the line... The kenne belle at 14psi makes 140rwhp more than the stock supercharger with identical mods at the same boost pressure and best of all the whole kenne belle kit is just $3k. There are a whole bunch of people making over 600rwhp/570rwtq at just 15psi on stock internals with the kb supercharger so he is pretty much sold on it...

Try this link...if it doesnt work...try typing the link in a different window..it works fine for me

There are a whole lot of bolt ons to get to 500 whp. Your buddy is probably hitting only 450 whp. Best I've heard of on stock blower was Roy Underhill's 529 whp, and the general consensus was that a lot of that money was better spent on something other than getting the Eaton M112 to squeeze out a lot of super heated air.

Roy Underhill is local to me and he is selling that Yellow Cobra since he got a deal on a new Z06 that he can't pass up. Just FYI. He has too much money. I am gonna adopt him as my Dad.
