Default Hard clutch pedal

hi guys i am new to the forum...

newayz bought my car about 6 months ago and it has always had a hard clutch pedal, even after changing the clutch and cable. Never thought much of it , i was the only one that i knew with cable tranny, but recently one of my friend bought a crx and it had a soft clutch petal, felt just like a hydro clutch. Also the clutch petal squeeks everythime i press it. Other than the hard pedal the clutch itself is very good, i can chirp 2nd easily.
U guys have any idea what might be causing this?
Thanxs

My stock dx had a really stiff pedal. Eventually one day the clutch wouldn't disengage and the pedal felt very loose, so we dropped the tranny out and the arm that disengages the clutch was siezed up. Either way I wouldn't worry about it, just drive it til something goes wrong cause i'd hate to drop the tranny for nothing.

I think you might need your throw-out lubed up. If you pull the tranny anytime soon check to see if it has enough bearing grease.

I dont think it has anything to do with the tranny. I have a DX hatch but with a ZC swap, and using a Si tranny, had the problem with both the DX and Si tranny. I greased the throw out bearing when i changed the clutch on both the DX and SI trannys. I used the same clutch on both trannys, only had the clutch on the DX for like a month. I changed the cable when i put the SI on, old one felt sticky.

could either be the clutch cable itself, or it could be the spring that connects the clutch pedal to the entire pedal assembly....located under the dash. ditto....what is a hydraulic cylinder for the pedal??
