depends on what civic you have. if you have an EX or SI then they will fit, but anyother civic model you would need to get the gsr knuckle

yup EX/SI is a direct bolt on. for DX and lower, you need more.

dont forget to grab new brake pads too

GSR caliper are the same as the RS/LS/GS, 99-00 SI, 93-2000 Ex coupé so don't lost your time to change it

What exactly is larger about them? The actual caliper, or the surface area of the piston?

Don't the ABS equipped 92-95 EX coupe/sedan use the same brake pad part # (Looking thru different manufacturers application guides) as the 94+ Teg's?

That would lead me to believe they use the same "size" caliper, or am i just totally off in my thinking here?

Integra Calipers have 2 Pistons, while Civic EX/SI Calipers have 1 Piston. Rotors are same size tho.

Oops, my bad. Integ calipers only have one piston. I must've read that info wrong somewhere.

its not true. they are single piston, floating calipers, meaning they have a slide pin that allows puts the hydraulic force on both sides of the rotor.

JV, I'll check the brake pad part numbers Monday when I get back to work. Also I'll check the various part numbers on the Civic coupe non-ABS and ABS and compare them to the 94-up Integra caliper part numbers as well. I've always *thought* the Integra calipers were larger than any 1994-1995 Civic Si/EX ones, but I'm not 100% on that.

I am really curious to see the outcome of your findings. I too have heard they were larger, but have yet to witness in which way.

I just did my front DX to GSR brake conversion. The caliper is slightly larger vs. the civic one by a few mm (1-2) in height, length, depth. Rotors are slightly larger too, the diameter is larger by liek 1 or 2 mm. The brake pad on the GSR caliper covers a bit more surface though.

And yes you will have to replace the arm I believe. I suggest you put in the GSR master cylinder and brake booster too.

wtf again! This is like the 4th time in 2 minutes that people spout of complete and utter BS!

the 92-95 Si has the same EXACT front brakes as a CX/DX, etc....ONLY the Si's with ABS, offered in only 94 I believe had the Civic EX/Teg front brakes. I have a 94 without ABS and my stock fronts are same as a DX/VX/CX model

Before everyone ***** their pants thinking they know everything about these brakes, let me scan the real deal Honda and Acura part numbers DIRECTLY from the Parts Reference Guides...

Give me about 15 minutes to lay the smack down.

Here we go guys, the scans.

First Integra:

Now Civic Hatchback - nevermind the incorrect info on the "1995 Si ABS" because trust me, they were only offered in 1994.

Now the Coupe - Nevermind the incorrect info on the "1992" Coupe. Coupes started in 1993. Also forget the "LX" portion as well. No such thing as an LX coupe until 2001.

Note the same colors equal the same part numbers. What does this tell us?

It tells us that only the ABS coupes share calipers with the Integras.

It also tells us that the Si hatch with ABS shares the same calipers as the Integras and ABS Civic coupes.

It shows us that the non-ABS 93-95 coupes did indeed have different calipers than the Integras and ABS Civics. This is according to part numbers from Honda. They in theory *might* could still be as large as the ABS and Integra ones, but I just doubt it.

It also shows us that all 1992-1995 hatches except the 1994 ABS have the same small calipers. This includes the 1994-1995 Si hatch which a lot of people swear has bigger brakes up front.

I will look at brake pad numbers to in order to see what the deal there is, but I honestly don't feel like scanning all of that **** right now.

I cannot tell you the bare minumum required to get Integra-spec front calipers on your car, but I can tell you what I did on my own car.

I purchased complete front knuckle assemblies from a 1999 Integra GS-R. Really any 1994-2001 Integra, regardless of trim (except ITR - 5 lugs ) will work just fine.

I unbolted my upper balljoint, lower balljoint, and the puter tie rod end from the spindle and replaced the entire unit.

Doing it this way requires that you get an alignment since you're undoing the tie rod ends and also adding different spindles.

You can't go wrong this way.
