Default Anyone out there with the b16b (CTR)

Just checking. How do you like it? I think I may go with this motor becasue it is an exact drop in for my 00 Si, as opposed to the b18c5. Should the factory harness in my car go with the harness on the b16b? Reason I decided on this motor is it is only 500 more than a JDM b16a2 and has 15 more HP. Just seems like a better idea for a swap than spending an extra grand on top of the cost of the b16b for the c5. What should i do?

You won't regret spending the extra money on the JDM ITR swap.

It will be a daily driver/autox/road race car. With the extra cash I save by getting the b16b I can cage the car.

If you plan on putting forged rods and pistions in it some time in the future. Id say go for the b16b.

Cuz then you can just get a gsr or type r crank to go with the new aftermarket rods for a b18c, pistons and walla you got a 1.8. But nobody has to know that.

b16b is the same dimensions as the c5. Wouldn't you have to the same things as if you were putting a 1.8 motor in your em1?

unless you are set on all motor, for the price of a c5 or b16b, you could turbo the b16 and be waaaaay faster.

I was already there and didnt really like the unreliability. Just took too much time and I havent been able to really drive the car for months.
